Thomas Kokolis

Thomas J. (“TJ”) Kokolis is a highly accomplished attorney with over twenty years of experience providing exceptional legal representation across Maryland, Washington, D.C. and North Carolina. Originally from Indiana, Pennsylvania, TJ planted roots in Montgomery County, Maryland in 2005 after completing law school at the University of Dayton. Prior to law school, TJ graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 2002 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and a minor in history.

TJ invested nearly twenty years in building a robust creditors’ rights, real estate, foreclosure, civil litigation and probate practice. In 2025, TJ launched the Kokolis Law Firm, LLC bolstered by his decades of experience and well-established industry contacts.

TJ currently serves as the Treasurer of the Maryland-DC Creditors’ Bar Association, and is a member of both the National Creditors’ Bar Association and the North Carolina Creditors’ Bar Association, as well as several other professional organizations.

Beyond the firm, TJ is actively involved in the St. Raphael’s School and Parish in Rockville, MD, has coached youth baseball in Montgomery County, and annually supports Make-a-Wish Mid Atlantic and Penn State THON. You can find TJ and his wife on athletic fields in the evenings and on the weekends cheering on their two children and in Happy Valley on fall Saturdays supporting their beloved Nittany Lions.
